Beijing Fengtai Lizhi Rehabilitation Center
Beijing Feng tai Lizhi
Rehabilitation Center is a grassroots non-profit
organisation providing service to mentally disabled people.
The Center was founded in August 2000. In May 2003, the
Center was officially registered at the Bureau of Civil
affair of the Feng tai District as a “Min Fei”. As emphases
of the various stations are different，we provide different
projects.
Service tenet:
assist mentally disabled people in
learning how to sustain oneself, how to conduct oneself
socially and how to grow into a person that is useful to
society.
Service Ideas:
All men are born equally ,All persons have their own
particularities， and have inherent worth and dignity. This
is true for mentally disabled people as well.However，because
of obstacles in their intellectual development，and because
of obstacles that exist in society， mentally disabled people
need more support and assistance. This is a very normal and
natural need. Through scientific rehabilitation and
education, through support coming from all parts of society,
mentally disabled people can obtain sustained opportunities
for development, they can integrate into the community,they
can live a normal life，they can become a true part of
society。
Service projects:
Lizhi Rehabilitation Center (West Feng tai District)
Feng tai Lizhi Rehabilitation Center is located in the east
section of a community harbouring employees of the Feng xi
bei li railroad。 The surrounding community is relatively
understanding，and accepts the presence of our students.The
Center occupies 3600 square metre.The Center consists of a
building occupying 2080 square metre,a playground,a park for
physical exercises, a plantation and a garden for the
breeding of aquatics.The Center can accommodate
approximately 80 people。
Provide all-round rehabilitation services. We aim to improve
the self-care ability, basic work skills and community
living skills of people with developmental disabilities by
focusing on four main areas: family life, community
integration, vocational skills and leisure activities.
